Thank you seems so small.
These two words can't possibly convey our family's heartfelt gratitude to so many.
Truth be told, the last couple of weeks have been stressful.
We have much to do for the arrival of our two newest sons.
While preparing for Wesley & Julian's sleeping space, play space, clothing needs, car seats & arrangements, special needs equipment, medical visits & educational assessments.....
We have also been working through the additional paperwork that arrives at this point, keeping family and friends updated, packing, learning Russ*ian, reading about bonding and the adjustment of an institutionalized child in adoption, learning about spina bifida, hydrocephalus and epilepsy, preparing the house, building benches (for the kitchen table that must now seat 12 :-)), keeping our business running and preparing our little ones for the arrival of two new siblings.....
AND...
We have been calculating our finances over and over and over.....
$28,000 is a big dollar amount.
The $23,000 price tag for Wesley's adoption was daunting when we took this leap of faith~ 5 short months ago......
Committing to Julian added $5,000 to the bill...
Worth it?
ABSOLUTELY!! No question about it.....
Challenging?
INDEED.
We moved ahead in faith. Obedient to the path that was laid before us. We felt called. We felt chosen to be on this amazing journey.
We feel honored.
Jim and I are so very, very fortunate to be right here in our lives, right at this moment in time, preparing our hearts, family and home for the arrival of two precious children.
We are just regular people....Average at best LOL...Forty- Something parents with lots of kids, a mortgage and limited resources and energy.
We knew we couldn't do this alone.
You answered the call.
You told our story, prayed for our family, gave us hugs, offered your hope, spoke words of belief, checked in for updates, laughed & cried and helped us fund this adoption.
How does anyone say thank you enough for that?
Thank you for the lessons learned.
Thank you for the emotional and financial support.
Thank you for helping us remain hopeful and keep moving when obstacles were in our path.
Thank you for believing in us and our mission.
Thank you for knowing that Wesley and Julian are worth it.
Thank you for the privilege of being a part of the Reece's Rainbow family and adoption community.
Thank you for all that is yet to come.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Where's the "Like" button? You're almost there!!!
